Final Score: Chelsea- 2, FC Copenhagen- 0
Chelsea and Copenhagen both played in a 4-4-2 formation. I believe playing in a 4-4-2 was new for Chelsea, but I think it worked out for them because it gave them more room to spread out and move the ball. Chelsea definitely dominated but had a few breakdowns. They should have scored more than they did because they had a lot of chances but were struggling to finish. Torres had a few chances that he needed to capitalize on. However, he had some good passes to Anelka, who ended up scoring both goals for Chelsea.
As for Copenhagen, all that really stuck out to me was that they were struggling on defense. They looked like they were playing way too flat and had very bad coverage. They were not supporting each other very well and were not always winning their 1v1 duals, as seen by the first goal that was scored.
The right outside back for Copenhagen is #2 Zdenek Pospech.
The right outside back for Chelsea is #17 Jose Bosingwa
All I noticed about the outside backs were that they like to get into the attack a lot. However for Copenhagen, I constantly noticed the center back, #25 getting into the attack almost as much as the outside back.
That's all I really noticed!
